Meet our 2016 winners
After an eight-month search taking us across the nation, we finally managed to pick not just one, but two winners. Competition was tough, with no fewer than 12 acts all taking part in the grand final, held in London in December.
After much deliberation, our judges decided to split the prize, with Shania Rowe winning best songwriter and Kasey-Wray Wooderson winning best singer. You can find out more about Shania and Kasey-Wray below.
Meet Shania, winner JSS 2016 best songwriter
Shania Rowe from Bradford was the finalist for Junior Star Singer 2016 in the Best Songwriter Category. After writing from a very young age, she has a collection of over 30 songs which she has written from a very early age.
Shania was recently at a studio in Buckinghamshire rehearsing for her first recording session with Junior Star Singer which is later in the Spring. Take a look at what inspires her to sing and songwrite, as she explains it is one of her lifetime ambitions. One of her tracks will be heard across 20 stations this year which was the amazing prize for the Junior Star Singer Radio Tour 2016.
Look out for Shania who will be singing live on the Junior Star Singer Tour 2017.
